First Caerphilly Comic Con raises thousands for children’s charity


Star Wars characters, pirates, and Ghostbusters descended on Caerphilly for the town’s first ever Comic Con earlier this month.

The convention saw more than 1,000 visitors to the Caerphilly Leisure Centre venue on Saturday June 10, and raised close to £3,000 for the Caerphilly Children’s Centre charity across a whole weekend of activities.

Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones will have the chance to sit on the Iron Throne as Caerphilly Comic Con returns for a third time.

Fans of the show will be able to have their photos taken on the iconic throne

Caerphilly Comic Con event raises £2,400 for charity Sense Cymru


Batman, Joker and Darth Vader all dropped into Caerphilly town recently to help celebrate a donation to a disability support centre.

Caerphilly Comic Con, held in June this year at St Cenydd Leisure Centre, raised a total of £2,400 for charity Sense.

Caerphilly Comic Con raises £2,500 for autism charity


A comic con event held at St Cenydd leisure centre on Saturday, June 15 has raised £2,500 for an autism charity.

Around 1,300 people turned up for what was the third comic con event held in Caerphilly.

Caerphilly Comic Con returns with a new venue and charity


Caerphilly Comic Con is back after a successful first year in 2017 when it raised more than £4,000 for Caerphilly Children’s Centre.

This year, Caerphilly Comic Con is raising funds for the Sense Touchbase Centre in Caerphilly.

The event, which was attended by more than 1,000 people last year, will be bigger for 2018.
